Tags

In Time Stream, you can assign tags to help you accurately see where your time goes. This additional level of data categorisation will make reporting on your time and invoicing simpler and faster.

Use tags to filter on your Entries page to see your progress quickly.

You will find tag management on the Tag page in the top menu.

Create a new tag

Here is a user guide for creating a new tag:

  • Click Create a new tag.
  • In the pop-up modal, enter a name for the tag, select a colour for it, and ensure it is enabled.
  • Click Save.

When creating tags, you can prefix them with identifiers such as;

  • Client
  • Project
  • Task
  • Subject

If you are a freelancer, your tags for a session might look like this;

  • Client: Acme Studios
  • Project: Website upgrade
  • Task: Content entry

If you are a student, your tags for a session might look like this;

  • Subject: Media and communication
  • Project: Cross-media PR
  • Task: Press release

Edit a tag

Here is a user guide for editing a tag:

  • Click on the kebab menu to the right of the tag you want to edit, and select Edit from the dropdown.
  • On the pop-up modal, edit the name or colour.
  • Click Save.

Disabling/enabling a tag

To keep your data tidy, turn off tags you do not need. You can enable a disabled tag at any time.

Here is a user guide for disabling/enabling a tag:

  • Find the tag you want to turn off and toggle the purple switch. The switch will be grey when the change has taken effect.
  • You can also turn on/off a tag from the edit modal.
